Founder & Head Instructor — Lavanika Academy
An overseas-trained dentist who cleared the ADC pathway and turned that experience into a mission: to make the journey clearer, more compassionate, and more achievable for every candidate who follows.
Dr. Lavanika founded Lavanika Academy after personally navigating the Australian Dental Council (ADC) assessment pathway as an overseas-trained dentist. Having experienced firsthand the challenges of preparation — the complexity of the OSCE format, the nuances of Australian clinical communication, and the pressure of the technical skills day — she built the academy she wished had existed when she was going through it herself.
What began as weekly study circles for ADC written exam candidates has grown into a comprehensive training institution trusted by over 1,200 dentists from more than 25 countries. Dr. Lavanika personally conducts all Communication OSCE sessions and roleplay practice, providing the kind of structured, honest, and individualised feedback that meaningfully advances candidates.
Her teaching approach is grounded in empathy and clarity — two qualities she considers non-negotiable in both dentistry and education. She is known for her ability to break down complex scenarios into structured, repeatable frameworks, and for creating an environment where candidates feel safe to practise, make mistakes, and grow.
